The national feast day of Ireland is held on the 17 th of March every year.
Thousands of people travel into the city to see the carnival parade pass through the capital. The sun shone down and the rain stayed away for
this years event. There were floats bands dancers and lots of events on throughout the city. Lots of visitors from overseas come to Ireland or as
it is known Erin's isle. Ceide mile failte ( A thousand welcomes )
This years grand marshals were comedians Deirdre O Kane and Jason Byrne who led the parade.
The lord mayor of Dublin Nial Ring travelled in the lord mayors coach to take his place opposite the GPO to review the parade

This year the Irish aer corps did a fly past over O Connell Street in a Vic formation their first year to take part in this event.
