Terminal 2 sits adjacent to access road for terminal 1. It dominates the skyline as you enter Dublin Airport. It cost 609 million euro to develop. The terminal was offically opened by Taoiseach Brian Cowen on 19 th Nov 2010. The first scheduled service began on Nov 23 rd. Full services are now operating long haul and short haul since Feb 23 rd . These include airlines as seen on destination boards on this site.Emirates airline now operating from T2 also. Dublin Airport averages 60 000 passengers per day and expects up to 80 000 passengers at peak season. The airport can handle 600 aircraft movements per day. Terminal 2 has 34 escalators 62 lifts 20 000 tonnes of steel and took 9 million man hours to complete . Th new terminal began it s existance in 2006 and completed in 2010.
